The Green Team announced the Con Edison C&I Energy Efficiency Program 2011 Market Partner Award winners. Recipients were chosen among the approved C&I Program Market Partner roster of approximately 500 member companies and were honored on October 26, 2011 at Manhattan’s elite Club 101. Finalists in each category were presented with awards of excellence and treated to a reception and production hosted by the Con Edison Green Team.
And the WINNERS of the 2011 Market Partner Awards are:
Overall Gas Savings - 1st Place
Pepco Controls earned the first place award for Overall Gas Savings for its project at the Morningside Heights Housing Corporation – a residential cooperative apartment complex with more than 980 units and is located on the upper west side of Manhattan. This project saved over 180,000 therms resulting in an annual savings of 29% for the implementation of controls in one building of this 5-building complex. The customer received a $100,000 capped incentive check.

Overall Gas Savings - 2nd Place
LVI Energy came in second place in the Overall Gas Savings category with the completion of its project at 1271 Avenue of the Americas, Rockefeller Center. With the installation of a 1500 HP chiller drive, the customer saved an estimated 140,000 therms and received an incentive check of $100,000 (capped).
Electric Savings Project - Single Project - 1st Place
LVI Energy also earned first place in the Electric Savings Project category at the 1271 Avenue of the Americas, Rockefeller Center project. This was the largest single electric project – saving nearly 6.8 million kilowatt hours – for the implementation of software to optimize the efficiency of the entire central plant. Customer received an incentive check of over $457,000. Totaling this incentive amount with the gas project at the same location, an impressive sum of over $557,000 was paid to the customer – the program’s largest incentive payment to date.

Electric Savings Project - Single Project - 2nd Place
En-Power Group garnered second place for the Electric Savings Project – Single Project award. The implementation of two 800 HP VFDs and three 700 VFDs at Brookfield Properties One New York Plaza property saved over 5.9 kilowatt hours and customer was paid an incentive of $222,000.
Electric Savings - Program-to-Date - 2nd Place
En-Power Group also received the second place Electric Savings –Program-to-Date award. They've completed 3 projects saving nearly 7 million kilowatt hours with an incentive payout totaling more than $235,000.

Electric savings - program to date - 1st Place
Global Energy Efficiency Corporation takes the lead when it comes to the award for First Place - Electric Savings Program-to-Date. GEE completed 37 projects with a total energy savings of over 8.3 million kilowatt hours and garnered cash incentives of more than $960,000 for its clients.

Most Number of Acquired Gas Projects
In the lifetime of the program, Hughes Environmental Engineering has completed over 13 Combustion Tune Up projects saving over 8,400 therms giving them the coveted award of Most Number of Acquired Gas Projects.
The Hughes team was not in attendance due to other business obligations.
Most number of Acquired Electric Projects
Lime Energy was a force when it came to the Most Number of Acquired Electric Projects. They’ve completed 112 lighting projects saving over 3.5 million kilowatt hours with incentives totaling more than $360,000
Most applications submitted in one month
Lime Energy was also busy in the month of February at which time they submitted 98 projects in a 30 day period. Earning them the Most Applications Submitted in One Month Award.

MVP – Most Valuable Partner
This award is voted on by the program staff. They appreciate the fact that Smart Lighting utilizes the XACT tool which all project applications are converted to for savings verification. Smart Lighting always sends in application paperwork completed and in a timely manner – something that makes life easier for our project coordinators – making Smart Lighting the program’s MVP of the year.

Top Producers – greater than 1.5 million kWh:
LVI Energy, En-Power Group, Global Energy Efficiency, Lime Energy, AKF Engineers, Honeywell Building Solutions, Energy Spectrum, NES Energy, and Goodmart Lighting & Electrical Supply Companies were also honored for achieving over 1.5MW in Energy Savings.
